The Labour candidate for May 2024 in Ridgeway is Steve Allsopp.

Steve is a Trustee and Chair of organisations focused on youth work and racial equality. He has been on the Board of the Midcounties Co-operative and its predecessor organisations for more than 30 years, and has been a school governor for more than 45 years. He was at Wembley in 1969 and remains a Swindon Town season ticket holder.

Steve is standing in Ridgeway as he believes it’s time for a change. The new Labour-controlled Council has started the job of repairing the mess of 20 years of Conservative administration, but there is much to do. Steve wants to play his part in helping to ensure that the needs of residents in the rural areas of Ridgeway aren’t neglected in the allocation of resources.
